Bombay Sapphire Sunset

Cocktails and Create Masterclass: Polurrian Hotel

I was approached by Ogilvy UK to run an illustration masterclass to celebrate the launch of Bombay Sapphire Sunset, a new gin. The workshop was held at the beautiful Polurrian Hotel on the Lizard Peninsula and the idea was for me to work with a mixture of public, artists and influencers to create postcards inspired by the beautiful sunsets of Cornwall.

In the lead to the workshop they also commissioned three hand drawn A5 postcards which would be used to promote the event on social media and to decorate the tables at the workshop.

It was a really nice change working freehand, rather than digitally which is what I normally do. I did the roughs for these on the ipad so I could get them exactly right but drew them out by hand afterwards. They made a really good teaching aide having them on the tables during the workshop.

The workshop had about 30 people attending it which was a really nice amount. The event took over a terrace at the hotel and everyone was at different tables so after the general introduction and brief I spent my time flitting between groups making sure everyone was happy.
